Opening in 1979 with a few Victorian designs, London Lace has grown to offer the largest selection of designs and sizes of Scottish lace panels. Our extensive range covers mid Victorian to contemporary designs of our own specifications.
London Lace offers both Madras and Nottingham laces. Madras lace is the finest woven lace made today. The manufacturing process is slow - taking a full day to produce 12 yards.
Nottingham lace is a beautiful loomed lace that is available in 8 point to 14 point density. The number indicates the tightness of weave - 14 point lace has 14 stitches per inch. The cotton for each design is hand strung on the same giant looms that have been producing this wonderful product since the 1870's. It is the finest Nottingham lace manufactured today.
